  • To plan for and work with village people of India irrespective of religion, race, caste, community or social status for fostering fraternity and to improve their economic development creating social consciousness in them.

  • To provide facilities for applied Nutrition and Child Care.
  • To promote Family Welfare, Personal Hygiene and Environmental Sanitation.
  • To provide opportunities for women to be motivated in economic development, Family Planning and other family welfare measures.
  • To offer training in productive village and cottage industries, Computers and in Small Scale Industries.
  • To provide materials, equipment, machinery’s etc at a reasonable rate or at free of cost to the villagers and to guide and to undertake the production of cottage industries and other crafts in small scale and cottage industries sector.
  • To provide training to the villagers in scientific agricultural methods, Dairy management and in rural based industries.

MAITRI focuses its Comprehensive Socio - economic development activities in the most backward areas of Theni Block of Theni District of Tamilnadu. 54 Villages from 18 Rural Panchayats and 2 Town Panchayats are being covered for the development activities, with a target population of more than 1,50,000.
